False. I was a semi one for about 8 years but I cheated and ate tuna fish. It wasn't feeling for the poor animals as much as it was just plain distaste of meat. Then as I approached age 20 someone offered me just a bite of their sizzling morning pork product and I was once again a raging omnivore with carnivorous tendencies.
