TIAMAT's CHALLENGE

Post by Lxndr »

This is a contest about the prismatic items.

In addition to being a Babylonian goddess, Tiamat part-times as the only chromatic dragon in the entirety of D&D. She has five heads. (Prismatic = chromatic)

ANYWAY. Since the prismatic items seem to be unloved, and this is the Prismatic Item month (forever and ever and ever, you hear me, Kinak?! :D )

SO, this is a contest to be the first person to go through one Trainee retcon for each of the classes. Prizes include:

* the Dreampants
* the Prismatic Sports Bra
* the current items

(frustratingly, I could not get my hands on an Axe; if I manage to get one of them, I will add that to the contest stash)

First come, first served.

Post in this thread to announce your intentions. Your retcons will only count AFTER that point.

Sign me up! I'll run Dresden II through a contest like that. Just wish you had posted this BEFORE I started a new run yesterday. >_>

Hardware wants in, as well. He's having to create a forum account, so I'm posting for him so he can start a run this afternoon instead of waiting until tomorrow if it takes that long for the account creation.

No. Way!

Mara, remind me to never try and beat you in speedrunning. Not physically possible :shock:

Out of interest, did you use SQUIDs?

No question about it, especially for the middle two runs.

That would be reassuring. My first run without SQUIDs was 1d 7h 28m 20s, which was slow, but otherwise...

Heh. Well, that 10h59m run is getting really close to the theoretical minimum, so... yeah. Lotsa squiddies :P

Yeah, no way could I have hoped to finish even close to that quickly. I finished one run, and will probably finish my second either tonight or tomorrow. I'll still finish the remaining runs, even though a winner has been determined. I said I would, so I'm gonna.

These seem pretty consistent, Don't think I'd be able to go much faster than these without using squid discs. I did learn a thing or two on the first run though which is why the later 3 are a decent chunk faster. Fraydays make a helluva difference!

He hasn't been online since May 3, so something must have come up in his life. Hopefully, he'll pop back in soon.

At least it was an easy contest. I'll come up with something for July with some good prizes.

OKAY!

So, I got a new job in a new city, and had to move. Then things just got stupid, and I forgot about this game.

Who won?
