2.5 minutes is the current minimum

Personally, I would put it at a flat amount that doesn't change with level. I may be a totally awesome Gadgeteer, but stitching up a wound is still gonna take time, and my showers won't be any faster.

Hm. I used to play Realms of Despair, and they had Guilds (grouped by class) and Orders (grouped by IC justification). Oh, and Clans, but those were the PvP version of Orders. What did they do? Well... chat, a place to store stuff, a place to buy stuff... then again, in a MUD, you can (and sometimes...

Well, that's because people don't read the manual and think in terms of turns instead of minutes.

"hits stuff more betterer"?

I dunno. "+5 to hit" seems pretty clear to me. Unless some people are reading it as "You now need 5 more whatevers in order to hit", which seems to be a pretty overcomplicated way to interpret something.

I like the quest-pool idea, but I also like the Transmogrifier.

If we call ascension "retcon", then it should send you through a new series of quest (with some kind of non-class-skill bonus), but as the same quest. If you want to play something else, you can always use the Transmogrifer.

Just be sure that the scripts you install aren't malicious, and, for the love of God, remember what scripts you install. Every now and then someone posts a bug on the KoL forums and it turns out it's something their script is doing.

That sort of thing sounds like it would work better for a game that isn't turn-based. MUDs do those sorts of things, because if you're on, you can do it. With TH, if you burned your turns before it happened, you'd feel a little gyped.

The chat pane should also be a little wider and have smaller text, like KoL (not because it's like KoL, but because it's easier and better. The width is okay, and adjustable frames would fix that. A bigger size issue seems to be that it only goes about 60% of the way down my left pane (1280x1024 re...

Buffs won't show up until you've loaded a page in the main frame that can process them. I'll try to test this out some more. Okay, thanks to several helpful folks in chat, I fiddled a little. Mid-combat, there's no notification or anything. Clicking "main" doesn't cause them to appear. Cl...

From the superhero standpoint, the Naturalist is spot on. Sure, he'd be a Fighter/Druid in D&D, but this is a different genre. A massive dude who calls upon animal spirits to be even more rawr is pretty standard. As much as I hate to admit having watched this show, the Naturalist is somewhat sim...

If you put a Silver Star in for 100 chips, you should be willing to accept that someone will get it for 101 chips. If you aren't willing to sell it for less than 30k, but that as the starting bid. This is also why I hate reserves. Anyway, perhaps making people able to exercise the "Buy Now"...

I have that happen in KoL and here as well. Clicking the main frame usually clears it up. Sometimes, the main frame dies to, but I usually just go to the left frame, right-click, and refresh that frame only.

I think it's a Firefox issue.
