Re: Maso wants you!
I bit the bullet and went back into maso. Thing is, first 2 attempts to retcon just reset the retcon form somehow, so by the 3rd attempt I was getting frustrated and failed to set my class! I've always been a gadgeteer since I started and now ...

Okay, I gave up on maso... too frickin' hard. Not worth it without some sort of award for doing it. And since Ryme said that's not happening, neither are my maso runs. Sorry.

In consideration of how long Maso takes, and how little you people seem inclined to do it, I've lowered the number of runs to 3.

Ugh, just finishing up my third as well. I am certainly not built for speed but Maso keeps me outta trouble at home for playing too much so I may still have a go. And really, what the hell else am I doing?

Looking forward to that!
I'm doing 3 more Maso runs... at 25 days apiece, it'll be March before I'm in a "regular" run. Hopefully by then I'll be able to play with both my Digitizer and my Improved Recyclonizer.

I did 2 Masos back to back when retcon came out, then switched the no-skill setting to "Permed skills remembered, skill points only for class skills, 2 points". Seriously thinking of going for this, just dubious as I am very slow because I don't do stuff with FT and optimising and all the ...

I can assure you that your chips are in the DB. I thought it would display them while in maso, and I'll look into why it's not, but they're safely stored for later retrieval.

My chips are missing from deep storage. I'm in a Maso run, and can see my items (cannot access them, but can at least see what I'm unable to access). Sadly, I cannot see how many chips I once had. Here's a screenshot:

I have to admit I'm very impressed. Great job, TeK.
For the record, with 17 days left, that is the fastest published Maso run. The fastest 15+ mettle run at this point is also TeKRunneR with 4d 38h 27m.

I think a board based on the last 60 days would be sufficient. A person can do 3 Maso runs in that time, and 12+ <15 mettle runs in that time. And as people get more skill points from prior runs, even the >15 mettle runs will be accomplished in 3-4 days I think. ...

So far, Valera is the only one who has posted a Maso run. So the time to beat is 56h 3m 50s.
For the regular 15+ mettle run, the current best is 38h 27m 50s.
