It's hard to explain exactly what I'm thinking of here, primarily since the best example I know of a game with this sorta thing is apparently broken, the game forgotten and replaced by sequels (damn you internet circa. 1995!). So suppose a text based adventure but without any text commands (links i...

Hmm, I'm not sure. I'm all for spoonerisms, but they may end up being a little too obvious--there isn't that much room for subtlety. On the other hand, I agree that haikus probably aren't the way to go. In part not to copy, and in part because I feel like half of the people trying to give hints that...

There's a chance that I've got the distribution of item drops a bit off, because they've changed a lot over the past 6 months. Memory tubes, in particular, I don't think drop in the right location ... think somplace mechanical that's not the zone you mentioned. I promise to fix this before computers...

I think I'm a bit confused. Is that assuming you've already shouted your battlecry, and the opponent has heard it and is trying to pretend to be on your side? Or steal it?

It could be a fun account option, just as flavor, I do agree.

Well, it's hard to go wrong with Spooooon!

Though personally I'd tend to go with something tricksy, like "Here, let me help!" or "I'll save you!" just to throw the enemies off. While they're trying to figure out whether I'm friend or foe, I'll be cleaving them in half.

Just wanted to note that the list at the top of the thread has been updated to reflect recent changes, and expanded to cover other things people ask about often.

Just wanted to stop in to confirm that everything is performing as expected. There's a fairly basic reason why some people can make them and others can't.

Currently, other than what's been talked about (initiative, hit, dodge, and the publicly visible stuff), I think everything else is what you would expect. For example, item find is the same for all classes and all levels, other than where skills and item bonuses affect it.

Displaying more stats. Chance to hit, dodge, damage reduction, initiative, resistances, and whatever may be hidden unless it could spoil the game. Damage reduction makes sense: I'm happy to show that. And resistances I'd always planned to show. There's no elemental damage right now, though, so resi...

It's subtracting a number from your chance of hitting the opponent. The to-hit stat is mostly hidden, but occasionally shows up in items. Positive is good, negative is bad.

Damage will always say damage specifically, and is treated separately from your chance to hit.

That's a little garbled, so I'm not sure if you're referring to the donation items/rewards themselves, or the means by which I take donations. Could you clarify?

Last quest is below level 12. I think it's level 9 that's the last one for the moment.

Registration Info

For now these forums require an administrator's permission to complete registration. This is to cut back on the frequency of spammers--I'd have 10-30 junk accounts every day if we didn't do this. To get your account activated: You MUST send an in-game message to Kinak (player #4) asking to have it a...

See, that's the kind of stuff I want to hear. Now I just need about a thousand more people per month who feel the same way, and I can retire! Woo hoo!

Upcoming features and wish list

Here's the things that are very high on my list of priorities, in roughly the order of priority, though I make no guarantees about that. Always: * Check/respond to/investigate/fix bug reports as appropriate * come up with and test Items of the Month * Keep an eye on multi-abusers and warn/punish/del...
