Re: April Podcast Thread

Love the idea of the rental equipment (wraith etc). How about a lottery event for those who donate for the month that has prizes that include past IotM? It would be an excellent way to create a new influx of now unobtainable items, and who knows, maybe there would be an increase in donations from pe...

Re: Bringing down retcon times

Best sources of sugar/caffeine? I wouldn't have thought they reduce retcon time as it just gives you more turns, which use time. Right?

I don't have that much non-combat gear, maybe that's where I'm going wrong.

Bringing down retcon times

Hey all,

Still here and having done 15 retcons I'm seeing my times drop down but they are still averaging 55 hours a time.

Looking for hints/tips to speed things up and shave off a few hours if possible without one time use items if possible.

Thanks!

Last patrolled area

Just wondered if there could be anything done to make the last patrolled area point to the level above in the example of an area that has been explored out (ie the caves). Does that make sense?

The game is a comedian at times. After a storming run through Mick's tower I ended up with 0 turns left and the fight with Mick to finish up. I know there is a room after that anyway, but seriously! Oh how I laughed :)

Re: Elementalist = hard mode

I also found Gadgeteer way easier than Psion (a point noted by the fact that I finished up about 15 hours earlier in my Maso run thereafter). Of course in the first run I was using a futility belt for no good reason so that probably didn't help.

My good god. If you're a beginner to the game, this class is not a pleasant experience. You're either out of cash cos you spent your creds healing at the university or you're time poor because you spend 3 turns resting after only a few combats. Maybe for you guys with hundreds of thousands of credit...

On a semi-unrelated note, I was pleased to realise after 10 years of marriage that my wife is more connected to Star Wars than I realised (even though she has no love for it).

Her birthday is 04/05/1975 :)

For a wannabe Jedi, that's always nice!

I did notice. And I went and found a what I needed in the desert in about 10 turns so I was dead pleased.

Now just on the hunt for stuff in the NCI live building so I can progress. I'll be level 15 by the time I fight Mick at this rate!

Easiest way to get super jump?

I've done over a hundred turns in the renegade robot hive trying to find some quantum hoppers, must have fought 20 battle drones in that time and nothing. I'm wearing +8% item drops too. Without super jump it looks like I'm stuck in the building with Mick and I'm on a Maso run. I think I found out w...

You purchase: 30 Misters Tea

Shouldn't that be Mister Teas?

Well, yes and no. Mr. Tea and Mr. Tea would be Misters Tea. So it's just extending the joke of the item.

If you started all over again fresh from the start, what would you:

1) Save as your first permanent skill
2) Ensure that you found/made/bought as an item
3) Try to achieve as your first merit badge

Re: November Podcast Questions

Quite a few of the merit badges/items in the game are no longer available. Do you think this gives other players an unfair advantage, and if so, what do you think can be done to correct this? It's hard to implement without causing some disappointment in the older players no doubt, but perhaps some f...

Do you want to know something funny?

I just read the synopsis on the game website. For some reason my brain read:

Strange breasts roam the sewers. I was totally laughing my head off when I re-read it!
