If the player doesn't play for a week, and then plays 2 hours worth of turns, in effect, only 2 hours have past - the owner of the dive shop has not been waiting a week for his his equipment, he has only been waiting two hours. Nah, that's just cheap. Sorry to sound blunt, but it's still your fault. I've messed around in the MMG and Devil Dice without falling into the gambler's trap. And plus, what if someone is feeling lucky? And is lucky?

I don't think that's quite as easy as you think. That'd require the other person you're battling to actually fight back with skills, which would inevitably just take up a long time...also, if you're deadlocked into PvP battles, equip switching wouldn't work I'd assume.

I would suggest no game penalties, but only minor boons in case of win. It may seem that game becomes 'sissy', but I see one thing: games that impose great penalties when losing/leaving/etc get very frustrating, even if they give analogus rewards.
