Psions really suck with Maso. I did the Mick in nearly-maso (I went naturally hyper instead of abstainer), and he's not too horrible, you just need to prepare. For one, you'll want to have Vim running for the fight, and you should have maxed ...

I concur. My psion DID manage to beat The Mick at 11, but that was thanks to some lucky equipment, not because of the Psion skills.

Elem's the best Mick killer? Maybe if you overlevel for Firestorm. Also, Psions aren't too bad all around, mainly because of Vim. Even now, with a whole bunch of skills, I still max Vim and run it for the entire run.

Oddly enough, the Psion was the fastest run for me (up until The Mick, which took me an extra day before I could beat him). I'd rate the Psion as the fastest pre-Mick, and Elementalist as the best Mick-killer.

well, I'm at the end of my run.
sadly, it's a Psion run, and I can't figure out how to defeat The Mick just yet.
Wasted an entire day's worth of turns getting smacked down by him.
Maybe tomorrow I'll be done with this contest.

Well, clearly I should have been resting - the PP from the wigwam more than paid for using Trample against everyone, even the Mick went down in 4 rounds (2 successful hits and 2 misses with Rhino).

Trample certainly helps with the Mick. Naturalist without any helping skills can be kind of tough, but if you can find a Scottish Necklace, that would help you survive, likewise the +HP ion stone. Also, don't forget your sidekick. Summoning ...

... itself. As it only works for one turn and is assumedly very limited in usage, it wouldn't be viable for much. And it's not like the bosses before Mick are actually very difficult, not nearly enough to require anything like this. I was more thinking it would make the Mick battle fun.

Armored pegasus has a level 12 requirement, so not really usable unless you can't finish the Mick off at level 11 for some reason.

I have a Recyclonizer.
With Gadgeteers, I haven't had any problem beating The Mick just by spamming regular attacks.
My first run, which was Elementalist, I had to level to 12 to get that level's combat skill to even have a chance...

I'd also recommend farming up some good delever/stun combat items for the Mick fight. Preferably, find someone with a Recyclonizer to make TNT for you between runs.
