Grrrr, how do I find this chick???? The first few times she was at the petting zoo, but now she's not, even though I go there when the schedule says she's got an appointment. I haven't rescued the alien yet, so I'm not done with the quest.

Being overlevelled works fine for both

There are two different times you can fight Dr. Somnus, once as part of the quest xKiv linked and once in the Petting Zoo. They're two pretty different fights and she has different weaknesses during them, but it can't hurt to try the sidequest one first.
