Following in the footsteps of bamse, PFE is proud to present three new buffbots to the TH community. Edit: Second-gen bots prices.

To purchase a buff, please send the specified amount of chips to that bot. We are sorry, but currently buff packages are not available.

EDIT: Stuff updated. So is the wiki. -MN

I'm thinking of solving this by channeling buff requests through a fifth bot, making buffs from several classes easy to obtain through a single request.

Please note that Shimrra's prices have been changed to reflect changes within the buffbot's coding.

Thank you.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to use the
Radiation lab in the Space station
instead of the Enlightenment Center?

These bots are out of date. We're working on a new set which, yes, use the Radiation Lab.

To reconigize the release of Twilight Buffs, to help save the Twilight Heroes community chips, and in reconigization of MagiNinjA's 18th and Zelandoni's 17th birthdays today (Yay, her and I!), PFE is proud to announce the release of it's second-generation buffbots!

These buffbots have been optimized to provide the cheapest possible buffs. This allows us to offer buffs for around 50% less than our previous costs. All buffs are being offered for the cost of the buffs' amount of PP at the RadLab, we taking no profit on this.

To purchase a buff, please send the specified amount of chips to that bot. We are sorry, but currently buff packages are not available. Soon though.

~All Naturalist buffs are for 450 minutes, with the exceptions of Summon Wolf and Summon Water Buffalo. Those two buffs are for 600 minutes.

~All Gadgeteer and Psion buffs are for 300 minutes.

MCP (# 12123)-Naturalist
~Ant's Strength- 160 chips
~Mantis Reflexes- 240 chips
~Memory of the Elephant- 320 chips
~Armadillo Armor- 481 chips
~Snout of the Swine- 640 chips
~Talons of the Raptor- 801 chips
~Spines of the Echidna- 800 chips
~Summon Wolf- 1040 chips
~Summon Water Buffalo- 1440 chips

HAL (# 12122)-Gadgeteer
~Metal Detector- 640 chips

GLaDOS (# 12124)-Psion
~Wind Warrior- 800 chips
~Biofeedback- Currently Unavailable

I'd like to thank everyone in PFE for making this possible, and Kinks for his very generous Twilight Buffs project.

Enjoy.

Just thought I'd put mental in here along with the other PFE buffbots instead of posting in the other thread:

Mental (# 8491)
80 chips - 300 minutes of Air Shield
160 chips - 600 minutes of Air Shield
400 chips - 300 minutes of Fire Shield
800 chips - 600 minutes of Fire Shield

You can now pay mental for buffing other players by sending her the right amount of chips and putting the name of the player you want to give a buff in the message field. That person will also get a message from mental saying who paid for the buff. If an invalid player name is sent along with the chips, mental will return your chips. Just leave the message field empty as usual to have her buff you.

This new feature might not seem too useful, but it's a step on the way to buff packages from the PFE buffbots.

The buff bot prices might temporarily differ from the prices you are used to, so check them by sending the bots messages containing the word "price" in the message field. Hopefully the bots will be their usual selves in not too long.

Yeah, and we've got them off Zel's crappy connection now too, so they should come faster.

The new buffs are added to the gadgeteer and naturalist buffbots. Notice that the prices for summon wolf has changed since the buff prices are calculated automatically and the new naturalist buff has the same pp cost. The solution might not be ideal, but I haven't had time to do anything about it lately.

Um, I don't think the price list has been updated in conjunction with that post. How much does Sinus of the Shark cost?

Yeah, I forgot to add them here, but the bots still send you a price list if you send them a message containing the word "price". Here are the current costs:

20 casts: 800 chips
Air Shield
10 casts: 80 chips
20 casts: 160 chips

10 casts: 800 chips
20 casts: 1600 chips

HAL
------------
Stealth
10 casts: 640 chips
20 casts: 1280 chips
Metal Detector
10 casts: 641 chips
20 casts: 1281 chips

MCP
------------
Summon Water Buffalo
10 casts: 1440 chips
20 casts: 2880 chips
Mantis Reflexes
10 casts: 240 chips
20 casts: 480 chips
Sinus of the Shark
10 casts: 1040 chips
20 casts: 2080 chips
Summon Wolf
10 casts: 1041 chips
20 casts: 2081 chips
Spines of the Echidna
10 casts: 800 chips
20 casts: 1600 chips
Memory of the Elephant
10 casts: 320 chips

It's not sorted or anything, but that's something I'll do something about eventually.

This has been updated and corrected. There is a wiki entry as well.

Unstable isotopes cost 700 chips per... And give 10%, so 7000 chips for a full PP restoral. Sure, /eventually/, that'd be better. But, that also means we'd have to make the bots adventure, which I don't think they do (well, they might). Not to mention, we'd have to have actually bought recyclonizers for them, which we didn't. And I highly doubt we'll find 4 spare. Also, if they don't adventure, it's still cheaper at the base PP they have anyways.

No, they don't adventure, I don't believe. At least they didn't when I ran them. Currently we have them set up, as said, to break even. We charge exactly what that amount of PP costs at the Station (plus/minus a chip to correct for buffs with equal prices.)

Plus that whole bit about recyclonizers.

Just wanted to let everyone know that the buffbots will be running on the SR server now that Bamse's administrators have disallowed them running. They're currently running right now, not 100% sure if it'll stay running 24/7 after I shut down the command line, Bamse'll let me know what I need to do if it doesn't.

Hmmm :( I've been on vacation and with limited internet availability and not on my own comp... Lemme see if I can get Putty on here and check real quick to see if the bots are still running. Meh. I couldn't get Putty to work on this computer. Don't know if it's because I had some settings wrong or the connection doesn't allow it, but it's not letting me connect. It'll have to wait a bit unless I can get someone else on there :/

Got most of my buff backlog, but HAL just refunded me my chips. I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it.
