i noticed there's a new update today stating that players can now earn a reputation and it will affect later adventures, etc. i think this is a great update and i seem to remember it being mentioned in the suggestion thread at some point.

basically just wanted to create this thread for people to discuss it.

mine is currently "balanced", who knows what it will be by the time i've run my turns tonight....

Mine as well states that I have a balanced reputation. Will there be a way for me to become unbalanced so I can fall over?

It seemed to take me waaay too many knight fights and cargo confiscations before I finally went from balanced to honorable. Did it take 6 or so of each for anyone else? Most people on the wiki seemed to say you only had to do it one or two times for each....

Anyway, nifty mechanic. It could be an interesting way of affecting various mechanics in the game. Obviously quests and various adventures could have different outcomes, but it'd be interesting to see some more subtle mechanics shift according to what type of player you are. An honorable hero could get more xp but deal less damage, a pragmatic character could get more item drops at the cost of defense, just heroes could do more damage... etc.

Anyway, does reputation affect anything in the game yet? Or is it currently meaningless but things influenced by reputation going be added in coming updates

Reputation doesn't do much yet, no. It's just for bragging rights and playing around with. There will soon be ways in which the reputations get you different results, for sure.

So epenis for now and then the metagame?
