I was just wondering why the chip counter's in profiles were removed?

This Question is due to the fact it is harder to find out if a person is trying to scam you in a trade, when you dont know if they have the chips they say they have.

They were hidden because there's no way for modest folks to hide their wealth, if they so choose. I really don't want to make a closet--certainly it's not a priority right now--but without a place to stash stuff then anyone with some wealth becomes a target for beggers, etc. If I come up with an option for hiding one's wealth, I'll bring the display back so that people who want to show off, or verify their wealth, or whatever, can do so.

Right now it's not safe at all to trade between people--visible proof of chips is not proof they'll send them over, so that's just as unreliable as not being able to see the chips in the first place. That's why the trading system is coming soon.

Trade in chips for bigger chips that can't be spent, only sold.

Like in a real casino. Players don't leave the table with a bunch of 1s(white), they color up and get 5s(red), 25s(green), 100s(black).

Heh.

You need 10 plasteel welded plates to make your superhero vault to store your items and chips...

The best idea is to, only trade with people you trust. People that are active both in the forums and chat, and you know they wont risk scamming.
