How many things does one need to reach a "higher" state of being, and once acquired, how does one actually get there?

1 of the things needed can be obtained by looking somewhere on the sand

after a while of looking, i found it! now i'mma 'splore me some new area.

EDIT: apparently not. when i tried to go to "wear things" the game glitched out and took more than 5 minutes trying to unsuccessfully load the page. on high speed wireless no less. closed tab, tried logging in and the same thing happened on the login page. is this a common problem? KOL is working fine for me....

Point of order: Range 2 is (currently) the highest range there is.

This still sounds very confusing. More hints??? What's the first step to take to find this secret area? I feel stuck. I wen to Area 54 and fought giant bugs according Susan's advice, but I'm still only encountering bugs. I know this is a relaly stupid question but I haven't been on for a while...

Talk to Susan again--she doesn't just say go there, she suggests that you have a certain perspective on things, right?
