i got the key however when i clik the place marked back of the house - locked, nothing happens. it seems it aint a lik at all

When you say "key" do you mean a swipe card? Or a key? And if you say swipe card, did you get a whole one or a ripped one?

If you got a ripped card, there were some instructions there giving you a hint about what you might need to do with it. If you get another one, you'll see the instructions again.

Found the 2nd locked door at the "Back of the House" for the first time ("Exploring the Halls..."). However, I already had the "traditional metal key" when I arrived (it dropped from a capo earlier).

Should the key only drop AFTER you find that 2nd locked door for the first time rather than Before? (It didn't make sense that I couldn't use it if I had it on me)

--Also, would it be possible for some generic message to pop-up like "New Area Opened Up" when you meet the requirements? I've personally ended up "Patrolling again" several times before realizing each time that New Casino Areas (or new areas in general) had opened. Thanks!

It's not a bug. It may be written badly, though. I'll look into it.

As for the pop-ups, I don't think so. They'd get annoying. My goal is that the text should give this stuff away. If it trips a lot of people up, I'll try to improve it.

I love the level 5 quest so far, my one caveat being this:
when i was decoding the cards, I was adventuring in the casino. when they finished, I continued to adventure there, assuming that the door would be unlocked in a non-combat. After a while I started to question this, and only figured out that a new location was available after reading this thread. Not sure how this could be fixed, but it really is frustrating. On the other hand, I hit a crapload of jackpots.

edit: wow. just read the post above in it's entirety, and obviously, Tectonics already said it. The whole 'disliking pop-ups' thing makes sense. Could that adventure not have a 'patrol again' link, but just a 'back to the casino' link? that worked in KoL pretty well. Come to think of it, when you find the door, does the location appear immediately, and just not let you in, or does it only appear after you get the card key?

Are you supposed to fight 2 people in the final area? The journal entry kind of implies that there is only one, but I fought two of the same guy (Harry) before being told that the room was empty.

Did you lose the first time?
