Day 56:
Today I spent some days collecting logos to max my pp, then 1 liao worth of turns in 7-sector.

I was a bit curious as to how rare liao and CTULHU discs are though so I spent 109 turns in The ancient crypts with 70% item find. I found a total of 10 liao and 7 discs. Seems like I find less than 1 liao/10 turns evaluating liao to roughly 6k (10 turns in castle = 6k)...

Day 58:
Started by gaining full pp by collecting logos. Used a white pill and spent the turns I had euphoria in 7-sector. Then used a lot of turns climbing to get rid of utter wretchedness. Collected some logos/liao to get back full pp. Used 1 liao worth of turns in 7 sector and finished the day with some climbing.

Day 59:
1 white pill worth of turns in 7-sector and 1 liao worth of turns in 7-sector. Some liao and logo hunting and the rest climbing. Actually gained 2 lvls today and had to put away one 2% xp in favour of +15% str to be able to keep on 3 hitting 7-sector with animal kung fu.

Same procedure. I finally passed 5k strength. These white pills seems to be bad news though since it seems like I am much more likely to get +time at the lower end of the scale.

I am going to try to get a copy of Diablo 3 today. If I find it in any store I will probably take a break from this game and use all my turns for climbing for a while and I will probably only write here once/week or so in that case. But it seems every store is out of stock...

Day 65:
Found a store with Diablo 3 in stock yesterday. Since it is frayday today I blasted on to lvl 100. From now on I will take a "break" from this game and play diablo 3 instead. As I said though, I will still use my turns climbing and post here once/week or so. I will start a new thread (100-150), once I feel ready to play once more. Since this thread is called lvl 50-100 I guess I will simply have to avoid lvl:ing for now... ;)

Hit level 50 today, so it's time to strip off the IotM and get down and dirty for the slog to 100. Of course, there's only about 2 hours left of today, so I won't really get moving until tomorrow. Today will mostly be smacking around S7G to get those robots up to a useful level (I killed 0 robots there pre-50). I'll still use IotM-derivitives (like Tanzanian cola or lost phones) and URs, but no shorts or shirts or what-have-you.

Diet: 4 Turkish Coffee, 6 gumdrops (from an IotM, but available in the mall at reasonable prices).

Spending some time in S7G as it's still not at a level where anything aside from normal attacks are necessary. I am, however, hopped up on Liao now. Although Rock-Em Bots are hitting harder than I like. In fact, they're the only ones posing a threat at the start.

After 3 hours, they can instakill me. Moving off to the underwater city for easier grinding. And, of course, yummy discs. To that end, I swapped out the antique shield for an attache case.

More time in the underwater city before switching to depths of space (with a little S7G tossed in for good measure). With hitting level 55, I swapped around some gear: Treader for Prefontane, Xentrium for Dr. Worm, and the Lancer for the Trident. I'll miss the Trident's leeching, but for now, I need the increased damage output and bonus attacks. Especially since I'm a Naturalist. Since tomorrow's Frayday, I think I'll just mindlessly grind for logos. I'm running low.

Mostly bouncing between Depths of Space and S7G. Thanks to the Crystalizer, I'm able to survive (barely) getting hit by the Rock 'Em Bot. Well... for a little while. Or, until it gets a crit: Your opponent has a critical hit! It hits for 3610 damage. It cleans your clock with that hit.

Day 7: What a Grind

Diet: 4 Turkish Coffee, 6 Gumdrops

Off to the Crypts for XP, discs, and Liao. Stupid Shoggoths. However, the multiversal gong is really handy here. Stunning every other combat round is nice. Might be kind of cheating, but it's the current IotM, so nyah. Besides, after a few more levels, I won't need it any more.

Also, the length of each round's text amuses me:

Your opponent attacks ... Dozens of claws spring forth to slice, dice, and shred you. Along with about ten other synonyms. And then you get a paper cut looking up those synonyms in a thesaurus. It's really not your day, is it? It hits you for 81 damage.

Your opponent is damaged by your fierce defenses, and takes 2 damage.

Your opponent is singed by your fiery defenses, and takes 9 damage.

Part of your opponent's blow comes into contact with your sonic defenses, causing your equipment to reverberate with a resounding CLONGGGGG! It causes 4 damage to your opponent.


Had enough surplus turns that I was able to recharge my blanket, too.

Little bit of S7G and a lot of Crypts. Managed to get 8 Noctuaries and 11 more Liao. Not terrible. Soon I'll hit level 70 which will give me another bump in power. None too soon, either. S7G is taking 2 TNT now. Except for Rock-Em Bot... "It hits you for 5450 damage." Stupid Rock-Em Bot.

Back to the Crypts (and S7G)! Stupid robots are hitting pretty hard, especially Rock'em (of course). Started to red-eye the Giants because they chew up too many resources. Managed 7 Liao and 4 Noctuaries. Stingy Crypts.

Day 14: Take These Broken Wings

Diet: 3 Exigen, 6 Gumdrops.

Making some broken wings. Lazy day. Also, accidentally used an uncharged blanket. Oops.

Sad thing is, I still have 21 to go. Didn't think getting blasted by lightning would chew up so much time. Oh well. I guess I got some piddling XP and +50 Intellect.

Day 15: Suck it, Chisox

Diet: 3 Tanzanians, 6 Gumdrops, 1 Blanket (mutter mutter)

Mostly just in the Crypts and ended the day in S7G. S7G was really made for Psions; I'm still losing initiative despite trying to jack it up as much as possible. At least I can survive one hit from everyone except the Rock'em still, makes it a little easier.

Day 16: Fire up the Kula Shaker!

Diet: 3 Tanzanians, 6 Gumdrops

Switched talisman (used Noctuaries to reclaim the lost XP). Abaddon really wasn't cutting it for me, so I switched to Gandiva. Yeah, I know it's a donation talisman, but it's current. And it's not technically an IotM, so nyah. I wanted the initiative, mostly. The loss of ~100 HP hurts, but I'll manage. More S7G and Crypts, as per usual. And by Crypts, I mean bungee'ing the tcho-tcho.

Yeah, days off, lazy days. 2 days in the Crypt. Needed the liao anyway. Luckily, this ends one way or another in a week!

I'd forgotten how mind-bendingly boring level grinding was. I think I'll just fool around and kill time until I Harry's contest in July.
