I saw this on another forum, so I figured I'd post one in Off the Wall.
How was your day today? Anything exciting happen? Share your feelings! And remember- it's ok to feel sad.

I had to wake up at 4am, get to work at 5:20, sit alone outside in the cold until 5:30, then actually start work at 6. That went until 2:30, then I walked 1/2 mile to wait for my ride at 4.
Now I'm here.
On the plus side, I'm not on fire.

How was your day?

If you make it through the day without being on fire, then I'd say it's been a pretty good day.

I woke up this morning to find out that my game exploded, in a good way. Then I went to work and watched it explode even more. That's a pretty impressive day. There's going to be a lot of scrambling for days or weeks to come, but it's also encouraging. Putting together Twilight has been by far the most enjoyable worklike experience of my life--it's a dream job, and that's from a cynic who thinks the only good job is "being retired."

Though there's a long way to go, today I learned that there's at least some chance my dream job could one day be my actual job. I like that more than I can say. Honestly, I could be on fire and still be happy right now. (Thanks, folks!)

Actually, I've got some stories about being on fire, but I'll have to save them for another day.

My day was just yet another boring high school day.

But, I did get to come home and watch this game explode some more. That was worth something. I think the next few months will be vedy vedy interesting.

Congratulations, Ryme. Hopefully this will become popular enough to become your main job. And you'll have to tell us those fire stories soon, as well.

My day was alright, I guess. There's not too much to differentiate one day from another. Damn, I sound like a whiny teenager... (What's the policy on foul language, or is it in the Forum Rules? Or fowl language for that matter, since Thanksgiving's coming...)

On the plus side, I'm not on fire. Unlike the server.

*Moment of silence for the server*

My day was about as good as 10 hours of concrete work will allow, which is actually pretty good. And I have money! (Yay!)

And, no, I'm not on fire. (just to confirm that today was, in fact, good.)

Today I studied a lot.
Like nine hours or something with teensy itsy bitsy breaks.
Tomorrow I do an exam!

today i handed over $300 to my college, which is a lot to someone who only has $320 to their name. and now i'm (trying) to study for four tests that i have in the next few days, and i need to write a paper at some point in there too. you gotta love the end of the semester. its the best!

but no, i am not on fire, so i guess things could be worse.

I was sick today, so I got to spend all day sitting on the couch, sleeping, and waiting for the World of Warcraft servers to go back up (not that they did....). But on the plus side, I got to stay home and do nothing but think about how much work I should've been getting done.

I kicked my exam's ass. I honestly think I was the only person who actually had time left over at the end to double-check and polish the answers.

Woo!

This exam counts for half of my legal studies score for this year. Half my legal study score is one eighth of my whole score for the year.

I need to be better than 97.75% of the state if I want to go to the Uni course I so dearly desire.

So yeah adrenaline rush !!! no sleeping.

Today was both really good and really bad at the same time, and for the same reason. This entire week's been like that, actually.

Horrible week, for a large variety of reasons.

I say horrible week, and it's only Wednesday. Bad and Good eventually even out, right?

It'll have just enough good to even out to a level inertia. :)

I searched endlessly for employment again today, as I did yesterday, as I will do tomorrow. To no avail.

Dearest Person Who Posts After This Post,

How was your day?

No no, it means I'll FINALLY be able to get my hands on some cash! Which means... living it up, donating to TH, and perhaps even a PS3!

Don't get a PS3. Get a Wii, or at least a 360. PS3 sucks.

In my humble opinion.

I have a Wii.

I don't want a 360.

I want a PS3. :)

I work in Virgin Megastores, don't know if you have that over there... But it's like a DVD, games and music sorta place. Nothing fancy, but it's about £200 a week, so I can't complain!

I also have a Wii. And don't want a 360. I do want a PS3. But right now Metroid Prime Corruption is rockin' my world, and Super Mario Galaxy is pretty awesome. So I'm a happy Wii owner for the first time in months.

£200 is roughly $400 a week, right?

I give it a 8.5/10. Not too challenging, but very pretty, and still fun. The gameplay is very Mario, yet different than anything you've seen before. Coordinating the pointer with mario maneuvering at the same time creates a entertaining playstyle, however, there's a lot of running around very small planets, which does get somewhat annoying. Still it's much more solid than most everything else I've played on the Wii catalog.

I made some twice baked potatoes, Some steaks in a mushroomy sauce, applesauce, and an apple pie. Applesauce you can buy at a store blows. Making it yourself is infinitely better. I also made the pie crust, which, according to other people, is supposed to be a bitch. There were obvious tears in the top, but hey, I'd never made a pie before. Maybe next time I'll try to do a latticework thing, instead of the full cover.

But everything was good, and that's what matters :)

Pie crust is an innate talent, either it's natural and easy or just never works for you.

I played A LOT of Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii, and was forced to try to teach a 5-year-old kid to play so nobody else had to entertain him. Needless to say he couldn't play single note on the thing, yet he whined every time we didn't give him a turn. A lot. So yeah, but after everyone went home I got to relax and watch some quality TV with my laptop on my lap. So yeah. Good Turkey Day.
