Thanks to Thorak for the idea. This contest begins on the 15th to give people time to complete current runs and position themselves to begin the contest at the same time as others.

Contest - Complete 4 No Items/No Skills runs, 1 for each class. I don't care what order you do them in, or what other restrictions you choose.
First run can begin no sooner than August 15th. Once you complete your last run, post on the thread and I'll verify and award your prize.

1st Prize - Thorak- Subscriber's Jacket (or 10 stars)
2nd Prize - bmara - 3 stars
3rd Prize - Sykzen - 2 stars

So it's kind of a stamina contest as well? Meaning, it doesn't matter how quickly I do my runs as much as when I finish.

Somewhat, I suppose. Hell, if there are only 3 of you competing for it then you can take all the time in the world.

I'm starting a leadin now, which means I intend to participate in this contest. Things start to get busy for me, fittingly, on the 15th, so it's probably a good that I'll be doing a few runs that won't take as much time as my normal ones. bmara (# 33488).

How do you mean it's a stamina contest?

I mean that it's not about how fast your four runs are (aka do four of these types of runs during the Month of August with the fastest overall turncount/daycount winning) as much as how quickly you are willing to chain four runs. Most people seem to chain runs anyway, but I'm going to be busy so the question was in my mind.

So just out of interest, who else is taking part?

I'm planning on taking part even though I suck at speed runs. Hell, I came 6th out of 6 in Harry's Maso contest.

But sounds like fun.

Cris, you can give us all a head start, join us later and still be in the top 3. Don't know how you manage it

Your timing is horrible. I just did this on Skippy. 4 Grimdarks, each took 8 days. And considering I didn't run turns on my days off, everyone's got a target, now!

I'm a little late to the party here, but, why not? I can give this a shot. More specifically, my retconning alt "Raccoon" can give this a shot. Is that okay?

It's not my contest, but I don't see why it wouldn't be okay.

As an update, I finished my first run. I'll keep my progress here for the remainder of the contest.

I have to admit you guys are moving along a bit faster than I expected. I think Sykzen and Thorak should be finishing their first runs today, as well.

If so I think I may have to wave goodbye to any chance of a prize. Hopefully finish first run tomorrow and I'm only likely to slow down due to a holiday in Spain (yay!) without internet (boo!).

Yupp, both me and Sykzen finished the first run today. This run started a lot better than last run for me, but I was rather far from finishing one day earlier last run...

geesh, looks like I'm not going to be anywhere close to winning this contest. perhaps I ought to stick to running them.

An extremely lucky run made me finish my psion run in 4 days. Moving on to elemental. This one will probably be a bit tougher...

Elemental run done in 5 days. Now moving on to my favorite gadgeteer, I was hoping to push for 4 days with this one, but my start is considerably worse than psion. I am going to need some more luck to do it in 4 days...

It actually looks like your first run started before the 15th, bmara. Someone let me know if I'm looking at that wrong. I'm freaking tired right now, so I wouldn't be surprised if my mind is playing tricks on me.

If you're looking at the start of my second retcon as a guide and counting back, I'm a day off of syk and thor in that instance because I played my turns and finished my first run before the 19th. I like to play right after roll. Rest assured that we started on the same day. My timecount in terms of minutes/seconds was actually faster than thor's, but he had a 4-dayer in there that made his total days 1 fewer while I only had 5-dayers.

I guess I was thinking that rollover would move the date up, but perhaps not.
