You do indeed have the needed runs. Congratulations! The stars are on the way. Feel free to do whatever you wish with them.

I'm level 5 (without having played today's turns) on Maso 3, going for a consolation prize or even just an honourable last place.

I'm level 8 today, post-turns. Is it a race for third between Hannah and me, or are there other participants? (acidcat seems to be lagging behind us)

well, I'm at the end of my run.
sadly, it's a Psion run, and I can't figure out how to defeat The Mick just yet.
Wasted an entire day's worth of turns getting smacked down by him.
Maybe tomorrow I'll be done with this contest.

I was right. The Mick is down. Retconning now. That should make me #4, if I'm right.

Still floundering along at the back here - I hate psions... They feel so weak.

I can't even adventure in bayside - I'm getting killed by normal foes, let alone the troutmaster :(

Oddly enough, the Psion was the fastest run for me (up until The Mick, which took me an extra day before I could beat him). I'd rate the Psion as the fastest pre-Mick, and Elementalist as the best Mick-killer.

Elem's the best Mick killer? Maybe if you overlevel for Firestorm. Also, Psions aren't too bad all around, mainly because of Vim. Even now, with a whole bunch of skills, I still max Vim and run it for the entire run.

I think we've got the answer. Although I had vim cast, I didn't bother maxing it out with points. Ooops.

Was wondering why I wasn't hitting anything

I used a maxed-out Tornado. Was actually pretty easy.

Just in case anyone was wondering, I'm still plugging away.

I can't beat the Mick, so I'm off to level :(

Psions really suck with Maso.

I concur. My psion DID manage to beat The Mick at 11, but that was thanks to some lucky equipment, not because of the Psion skills.

I did the Mick in nearly-maso (I went naturally hyper instead of abstainer), and he's not too horrible, you just need to prepare.

For one, you'll want to have Vim running for the fight, and you should have maxed it during your run. An alluring suit (CEO's secretary) or slick suit (Mr. Stoat) will help, especially the slick. Furthermore, Mr. Stoat drops one of the best Mick-killing weapons around: the long knife. From there, the rest of your equipment should focus on initiative, +damage, +DA, and elemental resistance. The force gloves are a good start for the elemental resistance; it's not a lot, but every bit helps.

Many people sing the praises of Webbed Sand for its (possible) weakening effect and its stun. You also might consider hunting down some powdered gingko from Yang Street for the +20 defense.

Just beaten the Mick and was about to ascend into another Maso when I thought... wait, have I finished? So I checked, and I seem to have finished on the 24th of Feb and this run was my fourth in a row. Either I'm so Maso I can do a whole Maso run without noticing it, or so dumb I can't count to three. Or maybe it's a little from column A and a little from column B.

Thanks for the advice Cris. I was already using long knife and forcegloves and maxed Vim. The rest of it was generally items I didn't have.

I took your advice and got powdered gingko which helped. Also spending so long in Yang meant I picked up plenty of Strength from the non-com there, and was using juggling pins so my reflexes helped. I picked up the fire orb to help weaken him further, so all that and levelling up to level 12 did the trick.

Finally finished! Can I have a post-Hannahmaus consolation prize please Harry?

Isn't it the most fun? You should just do Maso forever.

I liked my time in Maso.
However, I love my various items of the month.
And the ability to use said items wins.

(What else am I going to do? Sell them? That's a pain)
