Talk about the game. What game? The game with the power? What power? The power of ... aw, skip it.

obligatory What Do You Think Of This Month's IotM thread

I think it will be nifty for competitive retcon.

Being able to escape 5 times will be worth at least 20 minutes a day.
The tougness means faster XP. On lower levels that would be nice as well, saving some turns.
The crits are restoring PP, and with the extra crits it gives they are more common. Also nice.

I'm just thinking if they are worth it when one has the three-gear pants. That, I am not sure.

I was wondering the same thing. They're higher power until level 5, but they have less versatility. The 3-speeds get you extra XP without +foe toughness.
With the kilt you're gaining somewhat reliable HP and XP, with the 3-speeds you can only choose one. So...

Seems like a nice item. Is the critical damaged increased?

That's probably going to be hard to spade, as I don't know the formulas are well known, and crits are swingy. But I assure you there is a moderate benefit.

I would say the PP restore is far more important than increased crit damage anyway.

I just used these on day 1 of my run, and they seemed like a really nice item. Made levelling really fast (at least as long as I didn't get beaten up) and the 5 free runaways basically saved me 25 minutes.
