If anyone has checked silver star prices, youll see theyve jumped to 100-200k each. My guess is people messing with prices and who are rich enough to buy any out.
How about we dont buy till price drops? ;]

That, or people who have no idea what stars should be worth. They'll settle at 50k maybe. Maybe less.

I still think TH is WAY too young to be able to judge proper star prices. Who know what'll happen in a year or two.

That's the thing to do.

Sounds like a plan. People won't be able to keep that up forever.

Definitely. These don't seem very reasonable prices to me at all. Well, possibly.

I dunno. I guess they're the same people who auction things sold in NPC stores. Or offer data plates for 5000.

What's wrong with auctioning off things sold in regular shops? People are able to buy them cheaper than they are sold in stores and the sellers get more chips than the autosell price is.

50K for a silver star is in my opinion too high. For anything decent, you'd need 10 of them, which would mean farming ~17K/per day for one month straigth. 10-20K as a low and a high end would seem more likely, with the average being about 15K per star.

It will be interesting to see how farming goes, actually.

This sort of thing happened in KoL a few times but there are always players who are ripoffs, simple as that. It just needs to settle, hopfully not too expensive tho.

I already got to testing out farming, and 10k per day seems quite reasonable as far as farming, so I'd say you'll see star prices settle somewhere in the region of 20-25k a pop once they're more common, and the key part here... people are donating for chips, not to support the game and get the IOTM.

It's obviously going to fluctuate a lot, especially with new players maybe donating and thinking they can sell them for an absolute fortune. Just a couple days ago they were less than 10k, and someone told me he'd Bought Out a silver star for just 3000.

You'll also spend some of the earned chips on drinks and leveling.

If you're farming, there's no point to leveling once you reach the point where you can farm easily. And at this point in the game, without a steady supply of anything, coffee should be the main thing consumed by a farmer due to low price.

I think you're wrong. The main drinks will be Gingerelles/Gingerettes initially and perhaps even VR game rewards if they hit an affordable level (I saw them sold for 200-400 in chat yesterday).

Also, leveling gives turns and makes life easier in that you can survive places more easily, so you can spend more PP on buffs. I agree that it's not a concern once you get a stable income of PP and a steady amount of buffs going.

With the ethereal club you should basically be able fund all sorts of buffs. It's still funding all of my buffs in massive quantities even at only 5% regen. It was ridiculously awesome when it was 15%, and I'd be using spells and skills just to have something to do with the extra PP.

The problem with that arrives with spellslingers, who have to use their PP to kill stuff. I have a lot of problems with getting the PP to recast my buffs.

But you have to understand the concept of supply and demand. At a low enough price that someone could afford a silver star relatively quickly, the demand goes beyond what the supply is. With not much of a profit, people will decide to either keep the stars, or hoard them until prices go up when they can get a suitable price for it. Either way, starting with a low price will just result in either no stars available or prices almost immediately going back to what they were. Once stars become more common, IE people start buying more or some are given away as an event or what not, prices may drop, but that also depends on if more things become available to do with stars. You could eventually see them rise to the 100-200K mark and stay there, though we all hope that this is taken into consideration and prevented.
