Atmos Spear, melee weapon, has a shortened (no level restriction) and an extended (level 10) version.

I like the ability to fly on a melee weapon. If I wanted to item farm in a location where I needed to fly, this would free a more valuable transportation (or talisman) slot.
With a power of 150 and 8% critical added, the extended version might also be a good melee option at mid levels (10-)

What do you think?

Heh, I read the entire Trope-filled story. Pretty brilliant. I'll be getting one of these for sure.

Well, other than there not being that many locations where you need to fly... transportation slots aren't that terribly useful yet. Maybe in future, there'll be a -turn length transport, though...

For me transportation usually means T-1000. That's 25% familiar, which can mean ~12.5% item drops. While not spaded I think it also blocks more. Trouble is the limited range of the T-1000.

I'm pretty sure it does. I didn't do a whole lot of spading for that, but when using the T-1000 and Judo kid gloves the block rate was... better. Don't remember how much offhand, but well above the baseline.
