What is this about Galaxy of Fear and Restaurant at the End of Las Vegas? I assumed they are other browser-based games that are like KoL, but I can't find anything about them on Google. anyone know?

I found Galaxy of Fear. (It was a Star Wars-set, forums-based RPG, apparently defunct now.) Ryme's sense of humor strikes again!

I suspect the "Restaurant at the End of Las Vegas" is an inside joke that we just don't get. So far I've found:

A play-by-email Twilight Imperium game that the GM named "Restaurant at the End of the Universe." It uses a wiki to help track and explain the game. (Where's the Vegas reference?)

A forum-based "Avengers" setup that has the words "end, Restaurant, and Las Vegas" in a post in one of the threads.

"Rainbow Six: Vegas" (new Italian restaurant add-on). Go figure.

A Shadowrun guide to Las Vegas.

I suspected it was just a mash of "The Resturant at the End of The Universe" and "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", a book and a movie, respectively.

I'm going to have to disagree on the Galaxy of Fear thing. For a long time, Jick and crew discussed their next game being a "space-KoL," which they sometimes nicknamed to Galaxy of Fear. I'm pretty sure it's a reference to that.

Restaurant at the End of Las Vegas has already been discussed, but that's obviously a joke. KoL is the only real game on that list.

Fear and Loathing was a book, first.

And one hell of a book, I might add. I think I got a contact high, just from reading it.
