So, this is where I offer my introductions. I originally intended this to be a web comic of sorts, but I have the art skill of... someone who's really bad at art.

That said, I'm going to work on this when I have time, until I have a complete story.

In this post, I'm going to work on some back story for the two primary characters. Fortunately for me there is a hero maker that does the art for me, so I can visualize my characters more easily:



The primary antagonist will be introduced first, Jack King. Second, you'll meet the protagonist, Peacemaker. It's a short piece I'd been kicking around in my head as an introduction to this story. You may have seen it in the writing competition thread.

Jack's abilities are fairly straightforward. He has super-strength to the level of bending steel easily. He can regenerate from any wound, and feels no ill effects from them. This hasn't been as fully tested, but he's recovered from gunshot wounds, cuts, and being cut in half by his father. He survived numerous beating at the hands of his father as well. It is assumed by anyone who knows about him that removing his head or destroying his head would render him dead, but obviously that hasn't been tested.

Jack's uses his real name, as he is a criminal. Jack has a few issues with his father. He grew up under an extremely abusive and alcoholic father. When his healing powers first developed, his father was unimpressed, and took it as an opportunity to vent even more aggression. He was still in school at 17 when he murdered his father by tearing him in half. This was the first time he experienced his strength ability. Over the next three years he killed hundreds of people, some he'd torture, some he'd kill outright. He was eventually captured by Shiloh personnel, using a tranquilizer gun. Unfortunately he escaped twice. The last time he didn't make it out of the gate. This time is different. As of this story he is 22.

Peacemaker's powers are psionic in nature, despite his depiction as a gun lover. He has perfected the combined use of his telekinesis with his guns. He can draw his shotgun faster than anyone else can draw a pistol. He's even been known to fire his guns using his telekinesis. His reactions and strength are augmented by his psionic abilities as well. He can read minds to an extent, and this helps in hand-to-hand combat, as well as gun play.

His real name is Dorian Grey, and he actually grew up in quite a stable home. His father was a literature professor and his mother was an author. He was fortunate that none of his playmates knew of the origin of his name, or he may have been teased more. Regardless, he began to develop his powers early on. He excelled in school and sports, but gave up an opportunity to play sports professionally because he didn't want his powers to become known. In college he dated a girl called Quinn, until she died at the hands of a villain known as "Predator". He hunted the villain down mercilessly and eventually executed him. From that point on, his life as a hero took a sharp turn. He finished college, but only barely, and with alot of help from his telepathy. He went on to work as security for the Sunset Resort and Casino, and currently works in the Wooden Nickel Casino as a security consultant. As of this story, he is 25, and lives with his girlfriend.
