Stumbled across a weird little bug. I had read a message in my inbox, and while I was on that screen, the truck must have been sent to me. The arrival message was generated after I'd hit reply, which led to, well, this. I have no idea why that stuff was printed to my text box. I doubt it's major, but thought I'd point it out.

Ryme says: should be fixed.

Buying the sidekick should be fixed. Harry was right about the nature of the error message, but there's no reason to have that restriction.

All the issues with run types and printing out the wrong sidekick choices should be fixed. Simple display error. No mettle calculations should have been broken.

The effect text for decrypting a mangled data plate has a title in bold, as in:
"Computer 2: Decrypting Data Plate"

The effect text for decrypting a ripped swipe card is missing the emboldened title.

I did a search for "computer" in all of the pages of this topic and got no hits, so I'm fairly sure this hasn't been reported yet.
Where is this being seen? On the left-hand character page? On the computer page? Or in one of the popup windows? I'm having trouble tracking this down.

In the pop-up windows. I noticed the missing title when either Computer 1 or Computer 2 decrypts a ripped swipe card.

Not a bug as such but now retcon's here, maybe this hint from James Isaac needs rejigging:-

That Mick fellow you may have heard about? Nobody knows who he is or what he's up to. You're just going to have to wait until he shows himself. It's been two years and he hasn't done it yet, so it may be a while. Quite a while.

If you do strike back damage that would have killed your opponent, you get an element-specific damage telling you that your opponent pulled back. The message for ice is the wrong one, it is:

Your opponent appears to be pretty shaken up by the noise.

Which is the message for sonic.

Edit: actually, the way I tested it I used a sonic strike back, killed an opponent, then changed to ice strike back, and killed another. So it might be that the damage type is not reset, rather than that the message is the wrong one. I could not tell.

Edit: Same test for fire damage with Sunset's Flaming Sharovary: Your opponent appears to be pretty shaken up by the noise.

With Gwneuthurwr Deganau's hunllef puzzle, when the green side is solved, it used to do acid strike back damage.
I don't get this strike back damage anymore.

Note that this might be a general strike-back damage - I was playing all day long with changing one strike-back damage type with another.

There should be a specific message for each element, separate from the physical damage one. I'll check that out.

To clarify: is it doing the damage and just not showing the message, or is it not even doing the damage?

Presumably you are referring to the puzzle issue, no damage was done as far as I can say (how can I tell if damage is done when there is no message?)

Not sure if this is a bug in the text or in the mechanic (or neither, maybe a joke?), but the Scavenged death ray (which has "-5 extra ranged attack(s) per turn") gives a message that I hit "-2 times" on the rare occasion it produces a hit.

If you run away, and your sidekick acts to give you PP in that turn, it can go above the max PP if your bar is full/almost full already.

I have a small problem with the Mechanic sidekick. It seems to be working fine most of the time (haven't tested all cases, but...), except when I use a range 4 vehicle and try to adventure at the rogue ranch. I do have the mountains on the map, but trying to actually adventure there gives me the "you pedal and pedal and pedal some more" error message.

Yeah, little bug there. Apparently I missed all the range 5 zones. Fixed the castle when it was reported the other day, but didn't realize at the time from the report that the ranch was also affected. Will fix soon.

Putting skill points into a skill that increases HP (in my case ants strength) when you have full HP will set HP to the value it would be without the skill but it still raises max HP like it should.

Were we supposed to be able to get 2 world series rings if we retconned? (fyi i believe jpsteel was the first to do so, if it matters)

Those were unforseen consequences of retcon and holiday code intersecting. I'd say probably not, but all the holidays are a little different, and I don't want to possibly break another holiday to restrict this one.

Just did a speed round of bug fixes based on comments on the wiki for minor bugs. The following have been fixed (or otherwise addressed).

bag of marbles
benefits package
black market
buzzing dew
catalyzer messages
the silenced chain recipes (which are listed on 6 separate pages in minor bugs. Sheesh.)

not a bug - clepsydra. Don't think it should.
not a bug - resting in the maze. I count that as not leaving.

rejected rogue ranch range restrictions revised rapidly
creepy old house
drowsing rod
cutting torch
firebird college
fledgling elemental
furry pill

not a bug - Go Fish

jawbruiser
joiner's club
league of self promoters

not a bug - magic deck & frusion. Irrelevant at the moment, and shouldn't stay listed as a bug.

mind poke
NCI live
pathway imager
polar star
criminology lab
silver computty
skeptic sandals
reptauron
starboard port (all of them)
susan novak
stiletto boots

I have two (2) basic understudy sidekicks right now. Just thought I'd point that out.

Thanks for all those bug fixes.

The only of them which I think might not have made it through is reptauron: http://www.twilightheroes.com/images/reptauron.gif seems to still need cleanup, no matter how many times I refresh the cache.

Initiating retcon with the mechanic active seemingly carries over. I've tried it twice now, and it has happened on both occasions. Isn't major as i haven't opened any locations!

Everytime i log into chat, i get this piece of conversation:
[Normal] Strack: will a computer help get new gear at level 9
[Normal] PenguinPyro: PSA: Troutmaster + personal copy of internets running = stupid
[Normal] blackmatter615: never had an issue

It's really weird. I've refreshed and restarted GM, /cls, /exit, refreshed & restarted browser. However, everytime i get this random extract from a conversation!
Besides, FT on troutmaster isn't that bad :)

The logic with Quincy's Rental Coupon is weird.

I got the coupon, used it at Quincy's and then logged off because I had to leave. Coming back, the coupon's gone, but the base wasn't open any more. As if the game forgot that I had unlocked the base.

And ive got 2 detectors sitting in my deep storage because the choice was 2500 chips or retconning that day. I picked the retconning, and thus didnt finish the quest.

Not sure where to drop this one:

Missing at least one command:

Been a while since I checked the others.

Which I didn't. In fact, I didn't even start - I just went to get the level 10.5 quest, this was a byproduct.
