What is the perfect equipment (damage-wise)(Non-star and stars) for each 4 classes?
What is the perfect equipment (Stat augmentation)(Non-star and stars) for each 4 classes?
What is the perfect equipment (Non-star and stars) for farming chips?
What is the perfect equipment (Non-star and stars) for farming items?
What is the perfect equipment (Non-star and stars) for increased chances of combat?
What is the perfect equipment (Non-star and stars) for increases chances of non-combat?
What is the perfect equipment (Non-star and stars) for reduced amount of time spent per turn?
What is the perfect equipment (Non-star and stars) for farming exp?
Is there anything else that I missed?

And out of curiosity, what is your "Superhero outfit"? This is the equipment you see your hero wearing if stats/etc weren't a factor. What is your costume basically? What is your gimmick? Are you a caped crusader? A masked vigilante? A power-armored metal man? etc
For an example, check Malk-a-Mite or my user profile and look at our equipment.

There is no "perfect" equipment. It all depends on what effect one is trying to get.

I think that's why he listed a few categories of effects one may be trying to get.

As for my "Superhero outfit", I had a hard time. Ended up with unisex beanie, leather jacket, denim pants, fingerless gloves, sneakiers, sunglasses, kneepads, coil of rope, xentrium crossbow, asp evader, Swedish Navy Wrench.
Not very super, but meh. More like a burglar. Might come up with something different, but can't find exactly what I want for the other kind of personality I would go for. Would probably include aviator's goggles, though.

Here's the farming guide I wrote (which is currently an absolute mess in need of a total overhaul and rewrite), which kinda attempts to come up with a perfect farming outfit, and I believe is just about completely outdated: http://th.blandsauce.com/wiki/General_Farming

Well... I'm too lazy to try thinking of ideal patrol equips for various situations- usually just eyeball it, -but I'll happily provide my choice of theme gear.

JazzTap:
Traditional: plasteel helmet, plasteel shirt, security slacks, fingerless gloves, sneakiers; flashlight, PDA, kneepads; rail gun/digital rapier; jetpack, Ebon Eye of the Deep
Modern: xentrium helm, xentrium breastplate, xentrium breeches, Vambraces of the Star Spawn, sneakiers; flashlight, PDA, Shining Trapezohedron; N'Gah-Kthun's Lancer/Misericorde of the Squid; (same as above)
In-Game But Unequippable: security slacks, fingerless gloves; Stun Gas, Shock Grenades, Electric Nets; helicopter
Unavailable In-Game: long sleeve shirt; leather baldric, leather utility belt; compressed water canisters, lizard rope (lizard tails tied together), various duct-tape (courtesy of Corvid)

Modulo:
Basic: black hood, threeinforced vest, baggy cargo pants, xentrium gauntlets, xentrium boots; enerbun sphere, Coward's Cloak, lover's locket (right half); pronged javelin; motorcycle, Ultimate Aviator Goggles
Epic: (same); Polar Star, (same); Trident of Nodens; (same)
Unavailable In-Game: medium sleeve shirt; two metal bands (on both arms and legs)

Min and Max:
(These guys were unfortunate enough to be conceptualized outside the game; the main ideas are 'standard camo armor' and a bull theme for Min, 'pseudo-chitin armor' and an insect theme for Max, and masks for both.)

Transpose/whatever-they-end-up-as:
(All I know is that I want the Psion I'll inevitably make to have a lab coat.)

As you can see, I've put some time into these. :P

Ooh! For that matter, I'd better just upload the pics I'm working on now. Hehe. JazzTap, Modulo, Min and Max, two prototypes. Jazz's colors may change slightly- in particular, I'm not sure what color I'll make the armor, -and I haven't even come up with full color schemes for the others... though Min is apt to get green camo, and Max, a reddish-brown.

Iron Man? No, I wouldn't say that's what any of my characters are going for. Jazz is a modernized knight, Modulo is some form of ninja variant, Min and Max are costumed military, prototype one's a standard-issue scientist, and prototype two's an awesome futuristic ninja-knight.

Heck, could even think of it as a mix of Jazz's helmet/piping, Modulo's coolness, and Min/Max's armor. Thinking like that, I'd rather not have prototype one wearing that... I mean, I don't like Psions... ooh, it could be the alt that transmogs and is somehow a genetic mix of the three first mentioned! ...neh. I'm just sad that Jazz looks so lame next to it; I'd better give her upper-arm and lower-leg armor.

Pretty sure there is a policy or rule somewhere against using me as an example in anything...

Malk, I can't see the image... :|

And at Blink, pretty treads; I need to get more familiar with the new gear yet, I guess. Otherwise, nice paramilitary- am I using the wrong term? -gear.

My gear isnt paramilitary...Its more of a spiced up old-school mobster look. The Capo Cap-o and Raccoon mask makes my character (in my mind) look more like a burglar than anything else. lol

speaking of Gear, here is Dasha's gear. My Knife-fighting sidekick. Again with the mobster look.

Image

Ive always thought if it wierd that none of us disguise our true identities via mask or something.

As soon as there is a sidekick that uses ranged weapons. Im replacing the knife with a "My little friend", Tony style.

Hm; I usually leave... uh... binoculars! I usually use those instead of a butterfly pin; even though I never actually get around to selling the items, I prefer high +item to +chips. Which is more effective, now that would require spading.

For a chip and item farming mixture, which is probably best for Castle Hudwenstein.
H: Foxy Sombrero (DON)
MH: Long arm of the law
S: Sturdy Harness
G: Coldfinger Gloves
P: Discount Pants
B; Roderick's boots (DON)
OH: Isotope meter (QUEST)
A: Hero's cape (DON)
A: Wolley's index (DON)
T: Ultimate Aviator Goggles (UR)

+39% chips
+50% item drops

DON stands for Donation item. QUEST for quest item. UR for ultra rare.

Then we have item that increase drops too. But i can't be bothered right now :D

If you are looking for optimality, as the wiki is complete (to the best of my knowledge) you can easily find the best outfits there.

This used to be my Azathoth hunting gear. It minimizes turn length (pants and shirt), has both stat gain items (gloves and helmet), ensures everything dies quickly (furnace) and the rest goes to item drops (boots, offhand, index, and judo kid gloves through smuggler).

What are those lil "W's beside each item? What do they do and how come I dont have them?

Also, what would be a good Azathoth hunter gear for non-Donaters?

Also, Azathoth drops the shimmering chaos 100%. The extra item drops arent worth having.

That's his wikification script.

Blink wrote:

Clicking the W opens the wiki page. You dont have it? Download and install Firefox, get greasemonkey and then search the TH wiki for greasemonkey scripts.

Dunno, i'll have to think about it.

Blink wrote:

He does yes. But remember, it may take 6 months + to find Azathoth. If you spend 100 turns per day for 6 months, that's 18k turns. If the + item drops give you, say, 1 extra drop per 5 turns, that could be 3600 extra items. At auto sell, that's 360k. Selling in AH or to other players could push that up past 450k, so it works out at a Silver star. Totally worth it, no?

All the data is in the wiki.

As one is hunting for a UR the first target is to reduce 30 seconds (the maximum) turn duration. Short turns = More turns a day = more chance to meet Azathoth. The second target will be item drops (from the reason Strlikecrazy mentioned). We will keep our weapon slot free so killing foes is easy. If you are not a Gadgeteer you will also need the offhand slot for filthy sock puppet to avoid fumbles, which are the most dangerous thing with such a weapon.

A full table of items that reduce turn length is available here. Without donation items, this can be done with at least 3 slots. The rest will be item drop modifiers from the complete table here. You can surely go on from here. I'll post the best outfit I came up with tomorrow or something.

The vambrace gloves are very, very good at reducing fumbles with the furnace as well.
