/me puts on his tinfoil hat. Then, since the mole-people are obviously coming up from underground, put on tinfoil boxers for good measure.

Did anyone happen to be running S.U.I.T. when the tremors occurred?

But why not? It's always Cris's fault. Unless it's mine or Ryme's.

Also, why did you use // to denote italics when we have proper italics? Phail.

I'm used to IRC. Also, // is easier to type than . Or taking my hands off the keyboard to move the mouse to the italics button.

You don't have to use the mouse to get italics. You don't even need to reach as far as the Ctrl key.

All you need is {i}{/i} (but with square brackets).

/me goes back to looking for mole-people.

The miners are mole people? It would make sense.

I think I've found out exactly what is underneath all the rubble.

More rocks. Lots more. Endless rocks.

Is it bad that I immediately recognized that enemy from Metroid I from the graphic alone? Never knew what those things were called either.
A zone with NES baddies in the game's art style? Seems familiar...

27,074. Not bad, I suppose, but I'm sure others managed a lot more.

eh... joys of not storing turns. Ended up with a lot less than I could have had.

Forgot about monsters. 580 so far, so after tomorrow's adventures that should put me up to around 700. I'd have about 100 more, but I had to spend some time at the space station to unlock leveling because I was too lazy to before. >_> Damn procrastination.

I'm glad that I didn't pick hard numbers out of the air for the pounds of rock or the creatures needed to move to the next step. The numbers I would have guessed were a factor of 10 lower than what I actually saw--would have run through the entire thing in a couple of hours.

17,692 pounds / 667 creatures

I cleared rock for two days, I think. Throwing turns down a hole is neat for a while just for the novelty, but then I start to think "there's other stuff I could do" (like working on getting those PvP items). Although my poundage is actually higher than it should be; I cashed in a level or two to put more turns into it. My creature count would be higher, but I went back to the Castle for some aqua melior.

About 780 done today. I'm assuming the quest is ending soon, so that's probably my final number.

Well, at least you were guaranteed two of each of the gems. Better than nothing?

Two minutes in heaven is better than one minute in heaven. Or so they say.

All in all it seemed a pretty rewarding event for even those who didn't get to explore in the mines much.
