Hey, just thought I'd make a thread asking about peoples' in-game goals. Do you have any? And if so, what? Do you think you'll be able to achieve them?

My most immediate one was to acquire all of the items that could be yielded from the lump of coal (and have the lump of coal itself) so I'd have a complete set of Xmas items. I just got the last piece this afternoon from an auction. :D Now I'm going to be trying for level 50. I'm level 23 currently, so I've got a lot to go. I stopped leveling up for a while so I could retain more of my chips and use them to get to my other goals.

EDIT: make that level 26. i just leveled up as many times as i could with the experience i had.

I think it's ok if I say this here, as it's not technically asking or anything. But my lifetime goal has always been to become a mod.

I'm enjoying the role playing aspects of this game. I've always wanted to play the hero after all, and now I have some stories banging around in my head.

Getting a Hero's cape has been my goal for a while now. I'm about to succeed at that goal by spending a ridiculous amount of chips.

Currently my personal goal is just getting as many chips as possible. Plus I'd like to spade a lot more things out and get my autoadventure GM script closer to being finished.

I look forward to things like whatever the ascension-analog will be (I think I saw a mention of using the term Retcon which seems very spiffy and superhero-y comic and if we can get a retcon-punch power I will giggle endlessly), and saving the world.. lets face it. In a hero game you're going to save the world at some point.

Hopefully some of the missteps of KOL can be examples to help Ryme avoid similar badness here.

My goals are to get a couple of rare items like the eye and the goggles and then try to reach level 50.

I've also scripted a few bots for th hoping that they will contibute to the game community along the goals of pfe.

Also, I'm trying to become better at writing English by hanging out in chat.

My Goals:
• Reach Level 50
• Get all the merit badges that are obtainable
• Have a completely "colorful" wardrobe

Personally i'd like to continue collecting all the lovely IOTMs Ryme keeps giving out. Also once trade starts up i wouldn't mind taking a slice of the chippy pie that it will be.

Right now, I'm trying to collect 10 of everything, shy of the rare talismans and ridiculously expensive things like the coal stuff, donation items, Bass-O-Matics...

It's going to be a pain to get all the jetpack intermediate steps done.

Currently, I'm wrapping up the 'one of everything' phase. Still missing an Ebon Eye. I've been able to hit 10 on a lot of crap through the auction house though. And by tomorrow I should be done with some of the new 'lost' items.

i don't know why, but i'm trying to get at least one of each of the lost items too. i don't have the sack that you get them from, so i've just got to wait for decent aution prices. i've got 3 of the items so far.

and i somehow managed to pick up a bass-o-matic (in addition to the one i already had from the quest) in the auction house a while back for only a few hundred chips. i thought it would have been more expensive since they're items each player can only choose to get once.

My goals would be to start a team or league soon after that kind of idea gets worked out, and possibly to start up forum roleplay as a sort of co-operative alternative. It could also help people think up what kind of heroes they'd play and what they'd do.

(Me, I'd replace and unify all the little gangs around town. *insert villain laugh here*)

i'd have a variety of useless superpowers. like being able to shoot potatoes out of my wrists. being able to fly, but only while asleep. the ability to instantaneously carpet anything i touch at will. and the ability to fluff pillows from 5 feet away (it has to be exactly 5 feet away).

yeah, me and my friends have had brainstorming sessions trying to think of as many useless superpowers as possible....

My Goal is to get every talisman and level 50, then every other item in the game. Then I'll be done.

... Jesus. You trying to step my collection of 1 of everything, eh? That's my goal, to continuously keep atleast 1 of every item sans quest items. Right now I lack an abaddon charm (though I own one, it's loaned out right now), the goggles (searching now), the ham banner (prolly won't get that one), and crib sheet (unlikely as well). Other than that, to be the first person on 5 leaderboards at the same time and consequently the first to be the first on 3, 4, and 5 leaderboards at the same time :p.

meh going for all the talismans. just need the goggles, the abbadon, and will most likely get another corrupt amulet. plus the level 50 badge would be a nice feather in my cap.

Yes :)

Actually, the reason is less competitive and more laziness. When new combination items are added, I don't want to have to go hunting for the parts. And 10 is such a nice, round number.

Mostly, I want to meet the Kraken (and I'm beginning to doubt Ryme when he said it was no harder than getting a Robogoose in KoL, which he said to me in chat one day). It's been more than a month, and yet still no Kraken.

After that, it'll be to the pit, and then maybe the sky, to get the other non-class-related talismans. (I already have the amulet, and the paradox naught).

Ideally, I want to earn all these talismans as combat adventures, so I won't be buying them just yet. Shamefully, I bought the amulet of corruption, which I guess is fitting since I consider that a corruptive influence, the purchasing.

One of us was is out of context in that quote. Either I missed your implication or you misunderstood mine, not sure which. I don't actually know the odds of getting the robogoose, so I couldn't compare it, and also, what little I do think I know suggests that the kraken is considerably more rare.
