I agree, Roderick's boots in particular seem very useful.

I was actually talking about the BHH outfit and how good it was and how I use it almost every day. But yes, the BHH almost made me quit the goddamn game.

And it's natural for people to not reply to specific ideas, Corrupt Shadow. I think a bunch of my really good ideas went unnoticed.

Hey, now that there's another code, that can make for more programs! How 'bout one that restores HP or MP randomly after a turn?

Physiology Scan Code + Signal Processing Code

Dramatic Dance Operative

This funny little program sends animations of little heroes dancing to upbeat music on your watch. The theory is that this will reinvigorate you into accomplishing whatever ridiculous problems you're facing, or just be like your own personal cheering section. At least, that's what happens when the software comes up with a song you actually like.

Your watch plays a quick-tempo medley, and your Dramatic Dance Operative makes you feel a little bit more awesome

Restores (Level) to (2Level) PP whenever it activates?[/u]

Idea for the auction house: You can't choose how much you want to up a bid by. There's only a button that says 'Bid' that makes you bid something like 5% of the current price. This prevents 1-chip overcutters, and I think the math would work well enough. Like for 1 100,000 chip item, to raise the bid you have to raise it by 5000 chips with your next raise.

Of course, there would be a little number in parenthesis to show how much you would bid if you pressed the button.

Also, I'd like the option of withdrawing your own selling items, losing your collateral.

Or, there could be a minimum bid size, y'know.

And, for now, the way to withdraw your items is simply to outbid everyone, or to buy now it.

I was thinking about the Tame ability of Naturalists, it would be great if the animal stayed with you after battle, if the skill was changed so taming was alot harder to acheve, and maybe leveled in difficulty with a very low % for high level creatures. Then the creature could act as a sort of sidekick and you could have an area to store your tamed animals you have collected. Also maybe beable to trade them. But this would only be applied to animal based creatures, having a tamed "unborn general" would be a bit weard...

This could run sort of like familiars in KOL,

It could just start of as the tamed creature just attacks, but could lead to elemental resistances, and maybe restores. And maybe it could level up with your character. Of course this would be implimented bit by bit. :)
Then this could be expanded eventualy so you would be able to customise them with items and skills, maybe....

Thanks for your time....

An undo button so I can get back the 400,000 chips that I lost last night in the casino. I guess you were right Ryme.

Ryme has explicitly expressed that he doesn't want familiar analogues, especially like those of KoL. As far as I know, this opinion is unchanged.

That has more disadvantages than advantages. 3 minutes? That's huge.

Program: Health Moderator (or something)
Quest reward

This program monitors your heartbeat, caffeine levels, insulin levels, endorphin levels, thought patterns, thoughts... etc. Basically it just increases the maximum caffeine you can tolerate per day by... 3? Positronic computer would make it 5. Has to be running for at least 12 hours the past day for it to work.

How about the silver surf board?
A transport item, gives:
Transport range of the sky
Dodging abilities
Unlocks new zone 'Space'

Guess it could do other cool things as well. As its from F4, it is superhero based already ;]

It would be cool to have some more heroic transportation items. I dunno if ripoffs are the way to go however.

Just wondering... are High Jumps going to be used in any other situations?

Because it would be cool if there was an area of land with strangely low gravity, and with a space suit, one could jump into low orbit. :D

I love this idea, since taming has no function at this point.

I'm not sure how underpowered Ryme wants computers to work, but the average day without any modifiers is 210 minutes, or 48.498/46.666/42 turns. With this program, the average day is 270 minutes. 55.9/54/49.1 turns. So about a 7 turn gain.

Do you think it's possible to change this around to not be like familiars? Just out of curiosity because Ryme has stated time to time (like I posted not too long ago) that he does not want KoL like familiars.

Idea for the Battle Armor skill that was never finished.

"You cover your gear using the same material that you use for your Electric Net. This'll give anyone who touches you a nasty surprise. Eventually, it'll be ripped off, but you should get a good 45 minutes out of it."

Effect: Some flavor of strike-back. Part of my likes the idea of the damage being based on level, but that might get abusive, unless there's a cap.

Then again, don't Spines and Fire Shield scale?

Nice idea, maybe add some damage absorption too since you'd be in an armored suit. Maybe add some damage boost too if it's a high level skill (fire shield is lvl5 IIRC). And yes, at least fire shield scales.

Other suggestion, spartans in Shiloh. (This is an old warrior from Sparta. Sparta? This is madness!)

Yeah, but Shiloh isn't optimal. Clearly they'd be in the pit :P

So I was thinking about how an ascension-ish mechanic could be related to a superhero world and this is what I came up with:

How about when you get to a certain level or the end of the quests you could get the ability to train a sidekick to become your replacement when you retire. When you retire you could be able to teach them one skill you've learned and then they would take over and keep fighting crime using your name. Of course while you're away training your replacement all of the villains that you previously defeated return to the city and the cycle continues.

I got the idea from the comics where the Phantom would train his son to take his place and to everyone else it seemed that he just never died.

That's actually pretty cool. MrAndersonMan is my hero name, and people can take up the mantle (or sunglasses, in my case) of MrAndersonMan when the current one grows old.

@Above: Maybe a quest where you start with a noncombat in the Sanitarium where you can assist a battling Spartan and Persian. If you help the Persian, you fight an extremely tough enemy. If you help the Spartan, he kicks the Persian, and in your next trip to the Pit, you find the corpse.

It'd be cool to have a level 25 skill you got when you first started training with the mystic. Not necessarily something really powerful, just convenient for a high-level player. And perhaps a level 50 skill once the level cap is raised.

"I am not the Dread Pirate Roberts."

I love it. Best fluff for ascension I've seen yet. Only problem is that it really doesn't make much sense for cross-class ascensions.

It also wouldn't explain why the quests have all reset and the villains gone back to perpetrating their original plans.

You could explain that the villans are actually just one of their henchmen in the old villan's costume. :)
As for the quests, I don't know.

You should just add " 's apprentice" to the end of every single boss. That would work.

For ascensions, a really easy (and cheap?) way out would be the DC comics way. Ascending is actually being trapnsorted to a parallell dimension, kinda like Twilight-501 (or Crisis on infinite Twilights).

When you retire and return you could get a message from the mayor saying "Boy we're glad you're back. Things have gone to hell in a handbasket since you left. Wait ... didn't you used to be a/an (naturalist,psion,...)? Whatever, get out there and clean up those streets!"

That's why I support the "retcon" idea. It's a comic standard, and would easily explain why everyone's back: it was a really big retcon.

On my 12th run:

You are fighting Zion's Tears Demiurge's apprentice's apprentice's apprentice's apprentice's apprentice's apprentice's apprentice's apprentice's apprentice's apprentice's apprentice.

Er, nah.

I'm thinking about how to justify this... nothing.
