Creative player ideas for in-game items, zones, etc.

Talk about the game. What game? The game with the power? What power? The power of ... aw, skip it.

The only real reason to pull chips, I think, would be to level up when short on chips. Healing isn't /that/ big of an issue, if I remember correctly. But it has been awhile since I've played a run from beginning >.>

Kinda depends on the number of pulls you give yourself. If you have unlimited pulls, you'll be fine, even if you're pulling tons of advanced medkits. Of course, with unlimited pulls, you can just yank all the coins you want.

Honestly, I don't think healing or leveling (which will heal you) will be much of an issue. I guess maybe a 5k or 10k item might be worth it. But at that point, you could probably just save up and pull Gold Coins from the previous run. Kinda like how in NS11, people would pull their dictionary.

I remember doing this as a new character with Positronic Man. I didn't send any IOTM stuff over to that account, so I had to level up just as a newbie would. I ran into a few times where I was a few hundred chips short of what was needed to level, but I would think that if someone pulled 5k at the beginning of a run, they'd be covered.

If it weren't abuse of my mod powers, I would delete that post. And then delete you. <.< I'm not sure adding /anything/ from Twilight is a good thing. One, it's misleading to people who find this place thinking it's about Twilight. And two, Twilight is /terrible/. And three, Twilight is /really,really terrible/.

Also, I know the computer code is horrible, and i wonder if thats because the two different types of computers give the same effect (say prepunctuality for instance) but provide different results (30 and 45 seconds gained respectively). Would it be possible to change the code so that they give the same effect, just positronics fire 50% more often using a skill points like setup (electronic computers would provide the effect with 0 skill points and positronic with 10 skill points). This could also then play into gadgeteer skills. Set the positronic to 5 skill points, and then allow a gadgeteer skill to add the remaining 5 skill points so their computers would be roughly twice as effective. That might be a pain in the ass to code though.

So, use skill points to simplify the computer system code so ryme isnt as afraid to fiddle with it/add new (yes there is room for 1 more software based off the codes we have available, there are 9 code based software, but 10 possible combination that dont involve assembling a code with itself, with the missing combination being financial spreadsheet code + physiology scan code) software.

Accessory: Grounded Bracelet
Purchasable from all night electronics store
Effects: immune to electric damage.
-5 to initiative (because you have to sneak out of your window to go adventuring)

Helmet: Illuminum Foil Hat
Welded from illuminum and football helmet
Effects: immune to psychic damage.
+2 to light radius (joke effect referencing diablo and games like it)

Basically if the gas mask works the way i think it does, the idea should be expanded to the other elements (couldnt think of anything good/easy for fire/ice). The foil hat could be really powerful in some of the high level areas.

Gas mask doesn't do anything. It's an answer to a puzzle I never created.

See i figured it could make you immune to poison damage (where it does 1 damage to you like it does for enemies), and then include items from all the other elements, obviously making it so you can wear them all simultaneously.

There is no 'poison' damage. The closest thing is acid, and trust me, a gasmask won't save you from acid damage.

No, really, it's always been an intention of mine to have actual gas that the mask protects against, and one day it will. Until then it's one of those "quirky incomplete things that make the game so fascinating" for those of you with a sense of humor, and the "game's most glaring of many frustrations" for you finicky people who expect everything to work. Or something like that... :P

I had one of those once... it was made of green plastic and just said "TUIT" on it.

Seen the "round tuit" in wood, plastic and stone. Seen colors from many parts of the rainbow, and a few not seen(see below) by our eyes within the rainbow.
I have 3 "round tuit's" right now: One blue plastic w/ red letters, one wooden w/ black letters, and one purple stone with yellow letters.
("...and a few not seen...": Well, logically you DO see all the colors, including white(see color charts on web) and black(see color charts on web) in the rainbow, but our eyes actually separate the colors and we can't recognize black or white within the rainbow. We THINK we see with our eyes, but we REALLY see with our brains. Ok, it sounds good anyways; Can anyone make sense of what I just said?)
:)

EDIT: Oh, on a side note: I have done two of the three things I said I would do after I received the "round tuit's" (wood and stone). The last I bought at a flee market, ready to hand to someone who tells ME they will do something "when they get a "round tuit". ALWAYS be prepared to 'eat your words'. They COULD come back to you!

we totally need an item called stark raft. maybe even make it come in 3 varieties (stark raft 1, stark raft: brooding sore and stark raft 2). I have no idea what this will be, but it would be awesome and hilarious and had i thought of it sooner would have been excellent to throw out as the Iotm in 4 days...

A few days ago, as I was looking at some books for my nephews, I saw some old favorites of mine. So I got the idea for some sugar items:

Superfudge
Freckle Juice
Fried (Gummy) Worms (based on How to Eat Fried Worms)

Anyone else old enough to remember the books?

Maybe adding a spot for a stat called: Time.
This spot could show how much time is being saved via equipment used. This way a player could see it w/o having to actually go into an area.
Just a thought...

I don't know if anyone posted an idea like this -since I haven't been around- and maybe because it's not "new & shiny" you won't pay much attention to it.. but While I was watching the World Cup (yeah, the one with 32 countries playing soccer) I came up with this:

Vuvudzella

Image

A monster born from a normal horn, a normal dinosaur and the pasion of a southafrican scientist who wandered how could he annoy the entire world?...
Apparently he found the answer.

The mosnster does sonic damage and it can stun you for one (or two) turns!...

C'mon, be nice :P

Although soccer hooligans could be allowed. They're closer to sportsmen than that collection of actors that play in the World Cup.
There's nothing cooler than elitism in the sphere of activities that boils down to "It's no longer proper to kick your ass in battle, so let's make up some stupid rules and throw/hit a ball/semi-round object to see who's the better of us". Barbaristic elitism is surely the highest of the high.

No. There's nothing cooler than being cynical towards people who make millions of dollars because they are in the top 1000 people in the nation/world that can throw/hit a ball/semi-round object, and pretending it is elitism.

And.. why don't we consider "sport" as any of the "disciplines" practiced on the Olimpic Games?

Couple of transport ideas.

The Toybota (not totally mine - stole this one from top gear!)

It's a Toyota pickup that could drive into water and using outboard motors, could drive onwater. We could have something like this to get to a new zone, an Island. Obviously, a normal boat for transport wouldn't be any good, as you couldn't drive the thing from Somerset to the sea. Unless you had a trailer. But that ruins the fun.

Lexwe

A Lexus rip, could be used for traveling long distances.
