Where's my pay? I mean, I could make a living off crimefighting... and I don't get no cash from my job.

It says that your day job pay covers your rent, bills and such and leave you with nothing extra.

Now I'm wonderin' how the IRS would collect tax off a superhero income.

It'd be suspicious if you were throwing around all the cash you got from beating up people. You need to keep your identity sekrit, after all.

Officially, income from theft is supposed to be reported on your return. How do they go about enforcing that?

It's simple, really.

You pay your rent in dollars. You're paid in dollars. Chips are only used as a "shadow currency" in the Twilight nightlife. You can't quit your job because you can't pay your rent in poker chips. Just like real life.

I don't know about that, but I remember reading about a tax on illegal drugs before.

Apparently, in some states you could buy some kind of stickers or something anonymously, then stick them on your drugs. If you were busted, and your junk didn't have the proper sticker, you'd be subject to additional fines and/or jail time. Awesome, huh?

Narrative Justification stamp of Approval.

Doesn't explain how you can't, you know, go to the Casino and change your chips for dollars.

They'll only take dollars for chips. Business, y'know?

I think the latest issue of Mental Floss mentioned that...

And, MrAndersonMan: after all the time you've spent beating up guards and gamblers, do you really think they'll even let you get near the cashier's window?

Besides, the casino is run by the mob. The last thing they want is heroes being able to quit their job and spend more time busting heads.

That's GOOD narrative justification!
Hey, Ryme, did you hear that?

You can't exchange your chips for dollars because the casino doesn't actually exist.

Did I loose my day job? I noticed I was well past the morning when I usually have to stop from the day job, and I was allowed to take all my turns. Is this a new feature, is it based on level? I was going to suggest reduced work hours based on level.

It's because it's Frayday. On Frayday you can stay up past you bedtime.
