"Your super jump ability lets you map more of the terrain than you could have without it." Still works for me. Maybe you don't actually have super jumping or you're not doing that part of the quest?
Accounts: Kurg is my main, then there's Zap/Zorzos/Kalios who are (mostly)unused multis.

I believe the message only appears before the first non-combat.

Yes, it only helps until you get the first non-combat. About 8 adventures if you can fly/jump and much more if you can't. From there on it's useless.
