Re: Coordinated spading effort

You take off your old talisman and put it in the tabernacle. You feel energy drain from you, and are momentarily powerless. You pick up the Grimm's Bulwark and put it on. After a time you feel better, but not quite back to normal. You lose 20000 XP. Done with kangaroo, it is 30%. Moving on to age pi...

Re: Hit / Miss

Thanks for this clarification too, and it does make sense, at least to me. I might add for completion (and this is from the manual) that Reflexes add to to-hit as well as dodge, Strength adds to offense (or is it straight damage add?), and Intellect affects spell damage and initiative. Also accordin...

Re: Hit / Miss

Thanks for the clarification. I'm sure it still leaves a lot to be spaded, as it should :) I'm looking forward to find the specifics. What is still unclear is how these are compared against each other. I suppose to-hit is compared to dodge to determine if you hit or not (with maybe some randomness, ...

Re: Hit / Miss

So I assume your basic tohit is based on your level+ vs. the monster's level? This is probably then affected by bonus to-hit.
I wonder if foe toughness bonus goes into it too.

Re: February's Bounty - find that recipe!

It's not without president: hammer + data plate Of course, I suppose that the pinata already checks to see if you have a baseball bat for its assembly... And it does that because the effect is different if you have one or you don't have one. And if this has gone too far, Muhandes, then the night cl...

Re: February's Bounty - find that recipe!

In my personal opinion this was taking the Assemble feature too far. It should have been done with a use link, leaving assemble to things you actually try to, well, assemble.

Re: to hide or not to hide what effects do

Seems like a nice middle ground.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to edit all the effects in the wiki (again!) [will postpone my "edit all combats in the wiki" project, hmmm, I need a life].

Re: Coordinated spading effort

Clockwork kangaroo might be 25+%. So far 45 turns naked all dropped. I'll work with scuba mask for negative drops. Edit: so far: with 0% 45/45 with -5% 100/100 You take off your old talisman and put it in the tabernacle. You feel energy drain from you, and are momentarily powerless. You pick up the ...

I missed the message with the data for 16%. I suppose you did a lot of turns with 9% and it always dropped?

It's a good start. We know it is below 25%, we are assuming it is 20%. If you feel bold, try to capture a no-drop with 4%. Otherwise, start with 1% and go upwards.

Thank you Satan. That pretty much confirms the 80% drop. I'll update the first post with the new data.
I hope you can continue on spading MeD. I'm going to try and get preliminary data on Gumshoe tomorrow.

Coordinated spading effort

Many things in the city of twilight are still unknown. In fact, there is more of what we don't know than what we do. I'd like to propose a somewhat coordinated spading effort to start discovering the specific data behind twilight. For one thing, if anyone is spading anything specific they can post i...

I think I also sent a bug report about this, but I'm not sure Rand is fully aware of this change. He told me right after the level 1 quest that I might catch him in his downtown office which he was yet to be promoted to.

Yes, I was making assumptions, sorry. I thought the armory was one-time and it isn't, seems to be once per day or some other mechanism. I didn't like the way Bass-O-Matic 77 was a once per lifetime choice, thought this is likewise.

The special attack against metal foes might come handy. I'd like to see more of these (special vs. something), though it is a spading hell.

It's cool, I like it.
I'm not sure I like the one-time choice adventures though. Outside an ascension context that's a once per lifetime choice - I hate those.

Item drop registration works well.
I noticed today that the final turn count was 1 off. It might have been only since I hit 7am.

Thanks for maintaining this. I am using it now for spading.
It would be nice to get a summary of encounters in the end.

Edit: I noticed it does not report item drops correctly if more than one item drops at the same fight.
