Not sure if it's mentioned but there's also a merit badge for amateur vulcanologists (http://www.twilightheroes.com/images/ba ... rsfine.gif). You get that for through falling into lava through critical misses enough times. Slippery surfaces makes it easier.

Yup, I finally figured it out with some wiki guidance. A large part was also getting myself to high enough levels so that I had the HP to survive hits and damage output to defeat the boss. I believe I was level 18 before I first beat it. I'm much happier now that Ursula's Plushie Factory is open for...

This boss hits very quite hard and I can't seem to do any significant amounts of damage.

What is an aspiring hero to do?

I wonder if it has something to do with these components I keep picking up.

I can't tell which leagues are active. Or what leagues do.
